About S.A.B.
THE SOMERSET ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND IS COMMITTED TO WORKING WITH BLIND AND PARTIALLY SIGHTED PEOPLE IN SOMERSET, AND TO PROVIDE SERVICES SO THEY MAY LEAD FULLER, MORE INDEPENDENT LIVES.
S.A.B. will be 86 years old in 2006. From one person working in a very small boxroom 16 years ago, the charity has grown to today’s position: 2 Full-time and 11 Part-time employees and a small army of wiling vollunteers covering the county’s requirements.
From the Headquarters in Taunton, S.A.B. aims to meet needs across the county of Somerset and stresses that all funds raised are spent within the county.

Northfield House, 51, Staplegrove Road, Taunton, TA1 1DG
Leaving the centre of Taunton along Staplegrove Road (A358 to Williton and Minehead) Northfield House will be found on the left hand side, just past North Town Primary School and just before The Avenue which is on the right hand side.
There is a finger post opposite the entrance indicating the entrance to the driveway.
Opening Hours
Our shop is open every weekday morning from 9am to 12 noon and also from 2pm until 4pm on Monday afternoons.
